Slope soaring in the Netherlands

I've heard there are some places on the west coast of Holland where modellers are flying slope soarers. I would like to know where these places are? Any info would be appreciated. I live in Purmerend...

Walkera 76C

The Walkera 76C handbook states;

"the brushed motor is just suitable for Ni-MH battery pack. If a Li-Po battery is used, your helicopter may be damaged!"

Charging Li-Poly’s safely

I’ve heard it said a number of times that you shouldn’t leave Li-Poly’s charging unattended. But this seems very impractical to me.

Can’t help but think there is a design fault here. These black plastic ‘nuts’ are neither practical nor easy to install. Has anybody found a better way?

jh4db536, I do have the red ali swashplate, but that is the only upgraded part. I'll upgrade all other parts as and when they need replacing.

The tail boom braces on the X400 have fixing end pieces at each end. These end pieces are just a push-fit onto the braces themselves, and therefore have no strength in tension, i.e. a heavy tail...

Dezynco are you sure setting up two modes is really necessary? I do have a computer transmitter but not with heli mode. Your second suggestion of leaving the throttle and pitch connected makes sense...

Radio is Futaba FF7super. No CP heli yet. I’m just thinking ahead. I’ve been having fun with a Hirobo FP tethered, and now thinking about the next heli.

Beginner’s question

How do you control collective pitch?

With fixed pitch the throttle stick controls the head speed, but with CP how do you control head speed AND pitch?
