A very high quality tape will have a 20Hz - 20kHz frequency response. (This is the approximate limit of human perception as well.) In real life you're more likely to see something like 50Hz-16kHz...

There is a DV cam out there with analog inputs...i forget the model but it's mentioned a few times on this board.

It would be nice to use digital tape, but if not you can probably get a good deal...

Don't know of such thing, if there is it might be called a "transcoder" or a "digitizer".

A simple cable/dongle/adaptor won't do this, it's going to need a lot of computer power to convert that...
