RE: Engine Choice for OMP 540 Edge, 47

OS 50 two stroke on mine. I have flown 4 strokes on my edge, prefer the .50 cause it winds up so fast. Also cheaper to replace.

My KrazyLegs Are Here

I really like the Krazy Legs. I have them on my OMP little edge 540. I like to do flat-spin landings, and with this gear I can bounce offf the ground easily if the FS landing is a little rough. . ...

little OMP edge FLATSPIN LANDING!

It is really not hard--get into a shallow flatspin, one that comes down very slowly, get to within 3 feet of the ground, exit the flatspin into the wind, drop the nose, chop the throttle and land it....

OMP Edge 540 Advise

Kevin is right on here. You will put LOTS of force on the elevator and rudder. After stripping not one but two rudder servos, I moved to hitek 605 (and my rudder is sealed). I also put a 605 on...

It does exist: The Hovering Cobra

A good friend built one and we flew it about 2 weeks before selling it. Very flimsy design. IMHO, the OMP edge will outfly the hovering cobra in any maneuver. To me, they are not even close in...

OMP edge prop change=tailslides.

Shows to go ya that you shouldnt believe everything you read. I was a real believer in the APC 12.25 prop. I fly a OS .50 SX on my edge (IMHO it doesnt produce measurably more power than the .46FX) ...

PH3D - Is it still available ?

I have the aces 1 (now o.m.p) and I have the PH3D too. The PH3D was a harder build cause of unclear instructions. The plane flys quite similarly to the edge; flat spins are tighter. Hovering is...

Ailerons up for harrier.

I had up ailerons mixed with up elevator on my aces 1 edge, it just wanted to loop. So I took out the elevator totally, just up flaps and BINGO instant hariers easy. But you gotta steer a little...

I never said I invented that move--I saw it on the Aces 1 webpage--a video clip done with their PH3D. Check it out. After some practice it becomes very easy to do. I am sure any really hot funfly...

Do "the wall"

Approach level 10 feet up full throttle, straight and level.
Chop throttle and immeidately pull full up--plane stops immediately..about 15 feet up.
Soon as the plane is vertical,...

Wouldnt the ideal be a fuse that is shaped just like a symetircal airfoil, when turned on its side (knife) it would be in itself an efficient lifting surface. I have thought about scratching...

Box VS. Profile Fun-Fly Fuse design

I prefer the profiles, because I like doing what I do in a very small envelope. Crash any plane and your gonna have damage. If you have damage, (busted fuse) one can get a profile back to straight...
