RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

I would not use an APC prop on the OS 33. The APC props are so strong that they are hard to break, andon a bad landingwill bend your crank! Support for the crank does not start until the bearing at...

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

Richard,

I havea 12oz tank and fly for about 10 min. I usually have 1/3 of a tank left flying mostly 1/2 throttle with the OS muffler. A 14oz tank would insure you not running out of gas. Just...

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

For all of you that have checked their timing, tell me how you did it since the plug won't fire unless the rpm is above 160.  I was able to get a spark, but only when I was rotating the crank fast. ...

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

I received my GT33 and installed it on the Extra.  I have run two tanks (about 20 oz) through it.  I have the reverse running problem even with the sensor moved 1mm counter clockwise and opening the...

RE: Ethanol-free gas?

Go to Pure Gas website.  It lists all the stations that sell ethanol free gas.  It lasts longer in storage, up to 2 years.

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

Just ordered the GT33 for my Seagull 260 180.  I will be setting my timing to 28 degrees but I am not sure what spacer to use for the propeller.  Has anybody been able to order Vess props custom...

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

The question was, can you use a 2S Lipo without regulator.  So, if you can use a 6 cell NiH you can use a 2 cell Lipo.  The manual was using RATED voltage of 4.8 to 7.6 and there was confusion...

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

Don't forget to add the price of the standoffs.  BTW, doesn't "rated" mean normal voltage?  It did say 4.8 to 7.6.  I don't know of any batteries that are 4.8 fully charged.  The Manual also states...

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

The Owner's Instruction Manual states the  power source for the ignition module is "4.8 to 7.6 volts (rated)".  Looks like it will take Lipo 2s without regulator.

RE: What IBEC to buy?

Thanks for all the info on IBECs. I am thinking of getting the new OSGT33, however, the manual states not to use an IBEC. Why would they say that. The ignition module uses 600 ma at 6000 RPM and it...
