While the DO 335 in itself is unique, the proposed DO 535 with a piston engine at the front and jet at the rear caught my attention.
Was to be radar plane with second radar operator in the rear....

Vmar DO 335 is back and improved with plug in wings and metal control arms over previous.
Of course all modelers have option to modify or customize to our hearts content.

Model weighs around 22#, but static thrust I do not know..but it will accelerate like a rocket.
Each motor pulling 50 amps with 12x8 props or 4400 watts at take off.
Taxi is TWO clicks up on the...

Thank you sir for your kind words. Job that pays for the hobby gets in the way.
This plane would have been 50% bigger than the B-29 to fly to the West Coast, drop "Something" and fly back.

YES, the five engine B-17 is a SCALE conversion. See GE in 1950 turbo prop development.

Well, it took a while and finding a contact to custom build it...in China, but here it is.
3 meter or 120" wingspan, six 32 motors and ESC's, six four cell 4000 mah batteries, six 12x6 props.

The larger the control surface,,,particularly on a twin the more aerobatic, but also MUCH BETTER CONTROL on engine out. I have gone on a twin fuse ugly stick at 50% larger.

Completely depends upon what you want the plan to do. More aerobatic and more stable, twin rudders and good size. Most twins fly very well with one rudder, but make is big and LARGE control surface....
