I love my R8.2e RTR.

But here's my suggestion. If/when the servo craps out on you (happens all the time with any or every RTR) buy a Turnigy servo. There are servos by Turnigy at Hobbyking.com...

RE: Best Buggy for the Buck?

If I were in the market for one, I'd buy the Ofna Lx2e - but not the RTR.<div></div><div>Then I'd go to Hobbyking to buy 120a ESC with high burst current for 1/8 buggies (55 USD), a Trackstar motor...

RE: The Weirdest Problem

I couldn't enter calibration mode with the 60a, with the broken button. So I figured that it's a problem with the ESC. After all, I ran it through puddles of water many a time and the set button was...

RE: The Weirdest Problem

I don't think the BEC is the problem here because I can run my buggy right now with the channels swapped (the steering controlled by trigger and throttle controlled by steering) without a problem,...

RE: The Weirdest Problem

I know HOW to calibrate the ESC when it's got a properly working button. The problem is that it doesn't execute when I short the thing out. I works just fine when I do the basic same thing for...

RE: The Weirdest Problem

It's my old EZRUN 60a ESC. <div>
</div><div>But the steering servo works perfect when I use with the trigger. I'll try the screw driver and try calibrating that way.</div>

RE: The Weirdest Problem

If it was the calibration, wouldn't it have problems with channel 1 (steering) also?

This is weird as hell. If I plug the ESC into channel 3, I get full accelleration when I turn the channel on...

RE: L connector plugs for lipos?

I will try the plug out then. Better still is that TQ Racing ship pretty darn fast. So it's all good.

Thanks again.

The Weirdest Problem

When I turn my buggy on, I can steer but I can't throttle. I get no response from the motor.

However, when I change plugs at the receiver I can throttle with my steering wheel.

But it's not the...

RE: L connector plugs for lipos?

On second view, it's almost what I'm looking for. The L connection is there but I'm not sure if those bullets on it will plug in vs the bananna type plugs....

L connector plugs for lipos?

Hi. I recently purchased 2 lipos that come with detachable plugs and wires. Like so:

Problem is, those wires that plug into the...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

I know the foam rots out because 1) the smell and 2) I've seen it.

But you can tell how misbalanced the tires get by how much the RC shakes when you have it in your hand in the air and you get the...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

For pure bashing, I rather prefer tires without the foams since inserts rot out real quick as soon as you hit a puddle. Worst of all, the balance of the wheel is never the same after a wet bash. Just...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

Hey guys, long time no post.

I have a 6.5t LRP X11 ? I think ? in my DB01. No problems per se, good run times and no over heating regardless of terrain. But I'd recommend upgrading the spring on...

RE: Axial Exo or the Duratrax DXR8-E?

The C1 is rather ooogly (not as much as those Redcats though, haha), not to mention it's an overpriced slug. Sorry, but I've seen too many videos of that thing runninng and it's a cumbersome sloth...

Axial Exo or the Duratrax DXR8-E?

Help me choose my next RC.

I really, really like the EXO. But it has some durability issues from everything I've read (soft plastics) and it's a pain to work on.

It's also limited to small SCT...

Setting Slipper Clutch on 4x4: All your best tips, dos and don'ts?

For some time I'd been using this method: Roll the car back and let it have some backward momentum, and then throttle it forward, see how it responds and then make adjustments. If there's no lag...

RE: Lunchbox TEU104BK ESC already dead?

Again, because the wires are too stiff. They are not soft like those wires on the Mabuchi silver can. You don't have much room by that wheel, and you'll need to zitptie those wires at a sharp angle....
