RE: Swordfish 200A ESC

Thanks rbeugn but I'm not sure about what you're saying.
I thought BECS are set somewhere between 4.8 to 6 volts(from old A cell) and are not changeable.
Surely if an ESC says it has BEC then it is...

RE: Brushless motor fails to run??

Just looking thru posts.
You have probably moved on from this.
I too have a ESC that the lights flash and no go. Atleast you had tones from motor- seems throttle not set up.

The point here is...

Swordfish 200A ESC

I have a new Swordfish 200A ESC non data logging, that the BEC did not work on initial connection to Rx and battery, although it was supposed to!.
I removed the red wire(as in the instructions)and...

RE: 35K rpm max?

Got RPM I wish that was explained to me before going FE ,
I got the hype more Kv equals more spead initially, without being told that thrust diminishes very quickly going to smaller and smaller...

RE: power of motor

Drilling out grub screws Ok if they are soft but the "store' left a piece of allen key inside the screw - can't imagine drilling that without going off centre and/or burning out some drill tips.
My...

RE: power of motor

Thanks you're confirming I am on the right track. That is a good table.
Like often in life sometimes we get ourselves caught up the wrong path. With hindsight I perhaps should not have bought...

RE: power of motor

Mikeup your in the right direction, I tried to post before but lost it.
Local clubs for electric don't exit.

The urge to throw this thru the store window is still very strong!
Bought thru EBay...

RE: power of motor

Thanks Lohring.
Yes I am familiar with the table you linked to.
I think less battery voltage , ie. change 6s down to 4s will make this work but the power of the motor is also reduced.
I am now...

RE: Swordfish or Turnigy for Leopard 4074/2150

MartinNo1fan suggested lower Kv or lower battery cells from 6s to 4-5s at the beginning of this thread.
I have a thread headed as power of motor and I am waiting for more replies and at the risk of...

power of motor

I've spent some time in setting up my Thunder Tiger Desperado and I think I have verified that 6S on a 2000kV requires too small a prop, causing ventilation in cornering etc. That is: expressed...

RE: wire and connections adding to heat creation

It's suggested using a plug with greater (surface) area than the wire being connected to it senseless.

I looked at some specifications of different bullits and the Amp increase capabilityis not...

RE: wire and connections adding to heat creation

It seems 60/40 lead tin solder and soldering to bullet connectors the weakest link. The bullet connectors I have seen require in effect the wire to be loosely fitting susspended in solder. Additional...

wire and connections adding to heat creation

I was reading a very interesting closed post (RE: My aquacrat 1800KV toasted) where the poster was villified for suggesting that a bad connection caused his motor to overheat and fail- other...
