@mike early: also check and replace the barrel seal, very important!

I have a 140L with a damaged (pre owner, some chips out!) and hardened barrel seal.

quite dangerous, it revs up with closed...

in the meantime, my HKGee Bee is almost ready to fly, the most important work was the modification of the landing gear.
Engine is a OSFS120 Surpass II, CG is at 75mm from the leading edge,...

the robart struts are high quality, pricy and especially designed for the Great Planes Gee Bee R2.
For the Hobby King version you would have to modify the wing attachments.

1. Here you can see the lousy glued hardwood block, one cracked out, when i placed the model carefully on the floor, imagine that!!!
