it was lean, i kept thinking it was rich so i kept leaning it out and finally it got too lean and quit lol... i tuned a little on it earlier and got it really close to how i want it.

I would recommend buying from a hobby store. And don't get the cheap stuff, its not worth the bottle its in. I run byrons and its like $32 a gallon....

yeah lol the bearings were toast on mine too, i took it apart and all the little ball bearings went all over the place as soon as i took the screw out lol

yeah, you can run gas if want to buy a new motor lol... sorry for the sarcasm... they take glow fuel. this fuel is a mixture of nitromethane, methanol, and a lubricant. dont get a very high content...

not that im questioning your experience, but i would think they would barely grab backwards if they did at all, which would explain the high rpms before it takes off and the low top speed....

i believe your clutch shoes are backwards. i have the same motor and mine face the opposite direction.

its an ofna force .26, when it actually runs it runs great, but that is usually only for about 5-10 minutes, then it wont run well at all. like it wont run much above idle, it just wont open up......

ok, so i have tuned and tuned and tuned... oh did i mention that i have tuned on this motor? it has this weird idle, hard to describe, so i took a video! please watch it and see if you have any idea...

Yeah, actually the idle was a little too rich... I switched to a cooler plug and adjusted adequately, and now to motor runs much better than it ever has, at least in the time I've had it. Runs right...

i am new in the hobby, but with every engine i read specs on, the power readings are all in horsepower so i would assume his dyno is reading in hp just like the rest....

How does an engine run on zero nitro? I mean, isn't it made to run on nitro? If u take the nitro out wouldn't the engine be subject to detonation?

well, seems i started a good thread here lol.. the general consensus seems to be that i need to run less oil. will do that as soon as i get my roto-start in lol (ordered it today)... i have blisters...

That helps a lot actually. Now it makes sense to my as to why I had to tune on my motor for almost 2 days! I have fuel that is 14% oil!

Yeah, I may go to some 12% when I'm out of what I have... what I have is supposed to be really good.... its the black open protekk 20% nitro... would I get more performance if I went up on the nitro...

Well, I don't want to hurt this motor as its new and I just got it broke in. I probably won't fool with mixing my own fuel... I was just wondering what the "optimum" mixture for this motor would be....
