RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

When I bought my motor, I splurged for a Reedy Wolfpack 3s lipo. $82.89. Couldn't be happier.

I'm sure there are cheaper ones out there just as good, but I've run Associated products for a long...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Well, It's going to be a little bit before I'm able to do any work to the Storm. Some things have come up with my real vehicles that have to be addressed, so everything RC is put on hold as far as...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

A runway would be your best bet lol. I hear they get up to speed uber quick, though. I can't imagine 1200+ for a road car though. For that price, I better be getting a Baja gaser.

I've given up...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

I finally got a chance to take my storm out tonight. I believe the 6k I put in the diff is a little too heavy for it. Might try 2k instead. I loosed the nuts up as suggested, didn't notice any...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

So, I've ran into a problem. I was trying the leaky diff fix I read about here (http://www.rcshortcourse.com/forum/hpi-blitz/2904-blitz-o-ring-diff-fix-w-pictures.html). I assembled it all back...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Well, my plans were thwarted by some overtime at work. Did get the diff torn down and cleaned out. Found suitable o-rings and got a good setup with 1K oil. Blue loctite on the screws. Seems to be...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Well, she's all buttoned up. MMp and 5700kv 1406 fit like a glove. Too tired tonight to do a practice run via streetlight, but after work tomorrow maybe. I bought a 35c burst, 25c continuous Reedy 3s...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

I'm making a growing list of parts for this Storm. Gonna be an asphalt track star. But one thing at a time, I guess. CVD's, some aluminum beauty parts, powerstroke shocks, the works. One part a week...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

That's what I was afraid of. Seems like the rear being planted would be a benefit, but not if the front keeps lifting. Totally counter productive. Let us know how the added weight makes it feel. I'm...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Well I probably shoulda read this before ordering, but I went with the MMP and 5700kv 1406 Castle set up. Did it through Easy Pay on Tower so technically it still fits in my budget. lol.

What's...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

2400kv 1/8th??? holy crap lol. I'd have to see that one run. Enough torque to tear the Storm up. I love that cf look. And you have a nice ratio of plastic to cf to aluminium. Very solid looking truck...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Heyya mates. I just joined up on the site. Found this thread through a little research on the webs; thought I'd register and get the lowdown on the Firestorm. I dunno how active this thread is, it...
