had the same problem with mine. the pods under the hull are not water tight and the wet motors rust and seize up after a while. it's a toy and glued all around , so you would have to cut it open....

that one is hard to say . it could work just fine. not sure what kind of speed you would get ( im guessing 10 -12 mph) as the wood hull is a lot heavier than the villain hull, plus way more...

new bright is toy grade and they don't sell parts...

new bright is toy grade and they don't sell parts for any of their rc. if its the big 1/5 scale sled , i think it's discontinued. you might have to look for a used one for parts. or fab your own...
