Sanwa Error

Hi


A friend has asked me to look at his Sanwa/Airtronics 6000 super, that as an error message on switching on 'Err2', does anybody have any idea what this means.

It is the adaptor lead to connect the Aerofly unit to a square Futaba connector. I can also supply the pic interfaces for FMS and an adaptor lead for the old style futaba buddy lead...

I have checked the switches in the manual for my set and the are actually the opposite way around on my set.

If you are using the correct manufacturers crystals in the radio and RX and PPM then there is no major issue except the channel numbers are in a different order.

It is best to remove the crystal to prevent damage to the rf unit, yes the radio does need to be on and the aerial down (it does nothing).

The pic interface should not be drawing its power from the radio, it should receive all it requirements from serial port. Also the power drain by the pic should only be a couple of milliamps,...

I had this problem and the cause was the connector, the interface comes with a stereo connector. I made a stereo to mono adaptor, and it works ok now.
