Hi.....If that rod bearing is bad you more than likely are going to need aother crank. Carefully check that little journal for any sign of spawling and out of round!......Bob

Check out chipbreak on eBay. He does some outrageous and original things to Homelites for boats but very useful for your cars.. Very personable and easy to deal with.

The 28cc Ryobi has a slightly different cylinder fin configuration at the spark plug. The 31's have a full top fin as in your pictures and the 28's a couple narrow fins at the plug. Somewhere I have...
