I actually have a wireless video system that weights 14 ounces and it carries it just fine, landings are a bit faster but i dont have a prob with it.

As far at the exhaust, No probs with performance that i can tell. And YES clean up is a snap. That was the main reason for using the exhaust tube all the way back.

I have a scaled up Debonaire with a 72"ws and 50" fuse. If I remember right the plans for the Deb say to balance the plane with the fuel tank empty. This would make the plane nose heavy of course...

I have an OS .46 fx and my 72"ws Deb takes off very quickly even with half throttle.

Big Spads Question

This may be a dumb question, but here it goes. I noticed alot of SPADs that are 70" ws or bigger have these huge engines on them. My quesiton is why so much power for these things? I have a 7.5...

My first SPAD was a Deb. They fly great. Now I have upscaled a Deb to a 72" ws to use as a wireless video plane. Go with the Deb its a great plane. Mine is a tail dagger.

Actually not all SPADs are 3 channel. You should be able to use your FS4. You need to get a receiver and servos to go along with it.

I think a veteran should chime in, but if you can fly a 3...
