RE: SERVO/CAMERA ACTIVATION ?

My preferred method of shutter activation is to use a servo wheel instead of an arm. The edge that contacts the shutter is cut or sanded down to a slight cam shape. As the wheel rotates it will flex...

RE: R/C blimp-cam setup and hardware recommendations.

Cool,

Yours is about twice the size as the one from St Lukes. I flew it for them for three years and this is the first year they didn't use it for advertising. It was really a blast to fly in a...

RE: R/C blimp-cam setup and hardware recommendations.

Sounds like a good sized blimp. Bigger than the one I've flown. How much weight in ballast do you have to make that beast neutral if you fill it real full? There are plenty of low power 2.4 Ghz...

RE: camera-weapon alignment...

Easy as Pie.

Think for a second about whats happening.

Put the camera and the gun together. Aim at a garage door or wall where you can easily see the impact from the airsoft projectile. Set...

RE: video vendor woes.

I think email is the worst possible thing that can happen to a part time business. I've done it before.

You get people that need to be spoon fed information and details over a long period of...

RE: Prop changes when increasing weight/high altitude

Well I was picking pretty small ones for that engine. A quick Google search led me here. http://h1071118.hobbyshopnow.com/products/description.asp?prod=EVOE0460

They state they used a 11x6 for...

RE: Prop changes when increasing weight/high altitude

Longer props are more effecient than shorter ones. Two bladed are better than three. In fact big props turning slow are much better than small props turning fast.

The prop size depends on the...

RE: First video, and horizontal moving lines!

Good catch. It may be a factor of the CMOS/CCD pick up device then. It is a freeze frame of the prop. It looks the way it does because the way the lines scan across the surface of the pickup device....

RE: First video, and horizontal moving lines!

RE: Dynaflite Butterfly as AV platform or alternative please help?

RE: Dynaflite Butterfly as AV platform or alternative please help?

I think it would work well. It doesn't have a large fuselage but it's certainly a slow flyer. You could mount the engine sideways, put the muffler down below and put the camera on top of the wing to...
