RE: got bit by a prop for the first time!

reading these stories gives me goosebumps. i remember the time i was breaking in my fourstroke engine, running it rich. gunk was blowing directly on my newly painted dubro scale wheels. i stupidly...

RE: Anyone with experience with FEMA On-board Starters?

that's interesting. let me know how that turns out. while i haven't flown in seemingly ages, still love the hobby!

RE: Where to buy Nitro Formula F1????

I think the F1 cars are a bit too fragile. I imagine those that would race these would be a more mature audience since they wouldn't be the fastest nor the best handling. They would be for those that...

RE: Three bladed props vs. two bladed props.

3-blade props are for ground clearance and good looks. i have an electric turbo porter i plan on using a three bladed master on purely for the looks. i don't have any planes that need the additional...

RE: What are they worth

if any of those engines are open rocker four strokes, then you might be able to get a pretty penny for them. i've bid many time on NIB open rockers on ebay but each time they sold for more than $200....

RE: KMP Cessna Skymaster

great looking rear end :-) but from the looks of it, you're still using a pusher prop. wouldn't it be easier to source a tractor?

RE: Great planes cub fuel tank setup

i used a fuel dot on top and one on the bottom. fueling from the top, air and excess out the bottom. works like a charm! you can see the one on the top but the one on the bottom is not visible.

RE: Good beginner plane super club or NEXstar?

i second the ez star recommendation. i taught my friends how to fly with the ez star. it's hands-off stability is excellent. the only issue is that it's not an aileron trainer BUT when it is time to...

RE: Flying Sitting Down ?

i think it depends on the club you fly at. the one i fly at is not well regulated. there is no control of who can fly only when certain types of planes fly (15-60 size, 120 size and larger and...

RE: 8FG or Aurora 9

I just got my Aurora from TH in the mail today. After a 2 year hiatus from flying I've finally gotten the green light from the wife to go flying as she is finally at east taking care of the baby a...

RE: Can you identify this plane

that's not a new version IMO. torque rods in aerobatic ships are all but gone so this must have been a plane that was designed quite a while ago. but the externally mounted servos say that it has...

RE: ASP engines with free shipping

i'm sure they are from the same manufacturer, sanye. its the quality standards that may (or may not be) different. with a relatively good brand, magnum, they will need to stick to more stringent...

RE: bigger and heavier

i tell you, chrisp, starting this thread in beginners with a topic about flying in moderate winds and ending up with a DP extra is opening up a can of worms!

RE: $5 airplane

i would've swapped out the digital servo and put in a 3003 or something. that servo alone is $30 on tower!

RE: Soldering Iron Burn

you should invest in a stand. that way you'll never reach for the wrong part of the iron! i have my history of cuts, bruises and burns from this hobby but luckily not with the soldering iron (yet)!

RE: Kangke Monocoupe 20% (60 size)

RE: bigger and heavier

i think that what you want is something that is better in handling wind than what you're flying now but not necessarily what is the best high wind plane. maybe a better start is to tell us what...

RE: bigger and heavier

and both are not going to get you a very good plane in the wind. both planes are prone to ground looping and weathervaning. but if that's the kind of plane you want, no one will stop you. just that...
