Try the iridium spark plug from RCEXL.
On gas engines, it last longer than standard spark plug and give you better idle.
Unfortunately, the iridium spark plug does not work well with methanol fuel...

I'm testing the new OHC A38 engine and i'm very impressed con how ir performs.

Is not a hi-rpm engine, better with a hi-load prop.
With a 20x8 wood prop, it's about 6.100 rpm.
No belt-drive...

I've repaired the metal shield dozens times in DA ignitions and much more in RCEXL and more brands..

The engine is designed to move big load props, but specs say about 7000 rpm max (not with a 27x10 propeller :)
At the end of the last video you can see the sugested props and max power....

I think some people does not check the angle properly.
On NGH engines (GT9 included) the manufacturer says the angle is 40 degrees BTDC ,...

NGH says between 0,03 and 0,08.
When i set the clearance on gas engines, like SAITO, and this one NGH i set the clearance to almost zero without the feeler gauge. But i'm sure the valves are fully...
