Coloration has a lot to do with internal engine temps and tuning. If you are running richer you will get discoloration , its pretty normal . Your engine mounts can even effect the engine colour .. i...

the New Gen 5 Range of engines were released about 4 months ago . Yes the one you have , if it looks like the one on my site is the GEN 5 .

Word of advise , try not to lean HSN for max top...

There are about 12 different things that will determine the temp your engine likes to run at

Pipe
Fuel
Tyres
Ambient Temps
Clutch
Surface

Yeah the JP 3 is ok for that engine but the Go 2047 and LRP 2063 are better IMO

FYI these are 2006 gen 2 engines. Have original carb and gen 2 internals . The current 2008 range are Gen 4 with composite carb , new balance Gen 4 crank, updated piston journal, And new SKF front...
