RE: RC in Germany?

Hi Senf,
Thanks for your reply. I have a Futaba 9CAP. Perhaps it is possible to buy a module for the frequencies needed in Germany. What are the ones in use there? I assume they are not 72Mhtz. I...

RC in Germany?

I will be moving to Germany soon and was wondering about frequencies in use there. Can I use my Futaba rig without interfering? I know that electric is much more popular there, but are there many...

RE: PlanesPlus "DREAM 110"

Oops! I forgot which engine went where! I'll look forward to hearing. Glad your weather finally is decent. We have had a wet and windy spring here. I wonder what your next project will be.

RE: PlanesPlus "DREAM 110"

Bob,
Did you give up on the Icepoint with ST2300? Still waiting on flight report for that one! Glad the Dream worked out well for you.

RE: Best pattern plane for OS 61

Not sure what you mean by "bendy" Renegade. Do you mean flimsy? Anyway, the original post asked for something in the $150 range and the Bravo fits the bill nicely. I did have to straighten a warp in...

RE: Best pattern plane for OS 61

Black Horse Models Bravo 303. Nobody pays any attention to this, but I have one and like it. I use a ST 90 in mine, but the OS 60 would do well. You can search here for a thread on this. Here is the...

RE: Yet another laminating question (water bending)

Steam bending is the solution to your problem. I use this method to bend sides for guitars out of hardwood. First let the stips soak in water for a while. Depends on the thickness of the wood, and...

RE: Antena wire routing

I simply spiral the antenna wire around a thin balsa stick and insert that into the fuse. Like the soda straw. Have flow my plane at extreme range and never had a problem. I can't stand seeing a...

RE: Pattern start

Guys, I'm sorry that I have led this thread off on another tangent. Dreamer, I have gotten over it..a long time ago. Like you, I get a lot of help from RCU. It sucks that there is no one in your area...

RE: Pattern start

I have asked for a coach and a mentor. This has not happened. If I ask for help it comes in the form of "your loops aren't round" or things like that. You say that pattern flyers won't just give out...

RE: Pattern start

Majortom, wish that was the way it really is. I have been flying pattern for a year now and it has been a solo effort despite having some big name pattern flyers around here. I am about to quit for...

RE: Tx Rx crystal/freq mystery

As a person that just can't follow rules, you would not be welcome at our club. You set a poor example for others that are trying to learn here on RCU. You seem to be advocating the approach of go...

RE: Zurich Sunglasses?

Thanks for the input guys. Seems like people either love them or hate them. I must have something that will fit over my prescription glasses. I am presently using tinted safety glasses. Can anyone...

RE: Paint Scheme

I like the look teeth and all. I don't like how the canopy breaks into the white and blue line area though. I would consider bringing the red onto the canopy a little more to retain your white and...

RE: Securing wing halves?

Derek, the o rings are something I will pick up for sure. I also need to do the same with my stab halves, and they look handy for a lot of things...holding down mufflers, etc.

RE: Zurich Sunglasses?

Thanks guys,
I'm getting good but not that good. I suppose the lifetime warranty has some merit. Would still like to hear from others that have tried these.

RE: Securing wing halves?

OK, here's another: a piece of music wire shaped into an elongated diamond, say 1 1/2" long by 3/4", with the loose ends secured in the wing halves. Perhaps two of these per wing. The fuse would then...

Zurich Sunglasses?

Have any of you guys tried these? Which type is best for all around use? I wear glasses for normal vision and need something to fit over these. The pair I have certainly don't win any style points!...

ozzie my wing roots are 1/8" light ply with the same material doubled on the back side, with small eye hooks installed with CA. Supposed to use rubber bands, but I just don't trust this. O rings...

Securing wing halves?

I'm on the home stretch building a CG Finesse 1.20 and the plans call for rubber bands to secure the wing halves inside the fuse. I have tried a metal spring but it seems to soft... a quick roll...

Hi Mike,
I fly the Bravo and will be flying Sportsman this year. This plane represents agreat value, and flies well. I am using an ST 90 with tuned pipe and APC 14-6. I have been compiling some...
