RE: OV1 Mohawk

Bob,
I have been flying the BH Models OV-1 Mohawk for almost a year now. I use the same 480 brushless motors, props, and the 30 amp ESC's from the Park Zone T-28, and a 4 cell 2300 ma LIFE...

BEC and Receiver Battery in Parallel

I know this subject has been debated before and that most people think it is bad idea to run a BEC in parallel with a separate receiver battery pack without disconnecting the red wire, but I am...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Regarding post #55. I have sold the retracts and engines from my crashed A-26, but I still have a left wing panel with zero damage and a right wing panel with only minor damage to the right wing tip...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Ray,
I have a KMP B-25 in the repair hanger after a not so smooth landing. It has two Zenoah 23's which makes it a little heavier than I like. It flies pretty good, but you have to be careful to...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Ray,
I would expect you to have to add some more weight to the nose. I had two 4.8 packs plus 6 1/2 oz of lead for balance. I have had some bad luck. I ran into a small fog bank when flying the...

RE: ASM C-130

Juan or anyone else looking for four GMS 32's,
I have four GMS 32's that survived the crash of my ASM C-130 "with zero damage". Total of three flights plus bench run for break-in. I believe them...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Ray,
I mounted two 4.8 V packs in the nose and still added 6 1/2 oz of lead to the nose to acheive the proper balance. If I had it to do over again-I would opt for two .91 four strokes instead of...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Frank,
I decided to delay installing the gear doors until after I got a few flights on the airplane and then I sent my radios off to Horizon for updating, so I gounded the A-26 for awhile. I now...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Tom,
My ASM retracts have worked perfectly. Since I only have a few flights on my A-26, I can't vouch for how they will wear over time but I am super pleased with them so far. They have held air...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Ray,
Good Luckif you set everything to specs you should have a good first flight. Mine was almost a non-event, but I was really shaky anyway. I am using 13 X 6 APC props but I am going to try 12...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Frank,
I have mine set up so it can be either way, dependeing on which screw I remove. I use "sheet rock screws" (see pictures) for fast outs and ins, and I shove a wood dowell into the wing...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Four more good flights. I have a DVD of one flight but haven't figured out how to edit it and post it on RCU. I'm working on it.

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Ray, I may go to a separate servo for the nose wheel steering later, but for now, everything seems to be working fine. Are you getting close? Keep us advised.
Two more "ups and downs" on mine...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

I did run into a big problem with the cowls on the A-26. See attached photos. After the engine and taxi tests yetsreday, I found that most of the mounting holes in the cowls had cracked or broken...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Yippee-It flew and did real good. Two highly successful flights. First fight-perfect liftoff, and shallow climbout as there is not a lot of extra power comiing from the two Magnum '70's. With the...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Raveon, thanks, I understand now. I didn't have to drill the holes. They were predrilled to fit the landing gear brackets on my airplane. They must have missed that on yours. Jerry

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Hey Guys, thanks for the interest. Nope, not in the air yet. It is 100% ready to fly except for the engines. The right engine is running perfectly, but I am having trouble getting the left engine...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Frank,
Since I am not into true scale modeling, I will never mount a glow engine inverted, unless there is no other way it will fit into the airframe. Some people have succes with inverted glow...

RE: NEW 92" ASM A-26 INVADER

Frank, I think you will like the airplane. Only the landing gear doors are fiberglass. The fuselage is blown ABS plastic just like the other ASM ARF's, which is OK, as that makes for very light...
