RE: RC & Photography

Ok I see what you mean now about the grain. Thank you! Now, is what you did a simple process, or even one that you want to disclose?;)

RE: RC & Photography

Do you see grain in all of the shots? Partially that is due to the fact that I got them off of our club gallery (ie compressed a couple of times). Thanks!

RE: RC & Photography

I like the term "crop body", it's the first time I heard it but will make sure it won't be the last. The f2.8 wouldn't be for strictly for RC, need more light for other stuff. I tell you if Nikon...

RE: RC & Photography

Hey Vic,

I use either a Nikon D80 or D300s with a 80-300mm f4.5-5.6. Been wanting a 70-200mm f2.8 but they are pricey!

Keep the shots coming!

RE: RC & Photography

Nice work definitely. Here's some of mine. Mainly kinda curious how RCU's interface would butcher the images;)

RE: Palmer 1/4 Scale BD-5 and Misc. Info

Sorry, no new news other than I put the 4th plan sheet up on my wall to remind me of the ten year project. Guess I'm the only one who's trying to "build" huh?

RE: Glitching problems that I cannot solve

Sounds like you pretty much tried everything! Only thing that comes to mind is that some servos I have do not like the unregulated 6V coming off of 5 cell pack, especially after a fresh charge and it...

RE: Filters

Agreed. I use Nikon's clear "filter" for piece of mind, figuring IF it causes reflections I can take it off easily and probably won't notice any other effects otherwise. I too have attached a couple...

RE: Why do they STILL put 600mah batteries in new transmitters?

Stock, I got a 600mAh battery in my 9C, a 700mAh one in my 3PK, 1100mAh in my 9Z, and 2200mAh in the 12Z. All are good for a day of flight without worry and can get by the weekend if I am careful....

RE: Unpleasant reality...

Oh well, I suppose that is one advantage of online stuff, you can spend hours just contemplating stuff. In anycase I'm sure you'll love the Wild Hare Extra a lot more anyways.

I think that is...

RE: Unpleasant reality...

Last summer I wanted a Quique 69" Yak and tried to get it at the LHS. It had to be ordered and after 3 weeks of getting the run around, I decided to go direct to the source. Shipping was $50 and I...

RE: Triggering a remote strobe?

Larry could you define what you mean by "snap" or some samples? In the meantime here are 2 random shots of a gimbal using 2 different methods. Please excuse the hand;)

RE: Futaba 9CAP RF turning off

Pete the problem is not with the wire but with the pins the rf module plugs into, you know, those things that stick out with the module removed. It is possible to "crack" the solder on those pins by...

RE: Futaba 9CAP RF turning off

The pack may be on its way out but what voltage are you getting? Just double checking but when you say "points of possible stress" you mean you looked on the back of the pcb and looked for solder...

RE: Futaba 9CAP RF turning off

I agree with Les, never had the problem with my 9C, but had a similar one with the 9Z. I think depending on the frequency of replacing the module and/or even the method, the pins or possibly the...

RE: Prop Spinning backwards

Basically, what is happening when your instructor blips the throttle is that he is acutally getting the engine to stop for an instant, since it doesn't like to run backwards and especially if you...
