RE: spad seaplane???

I had no CG problems with my Snowmaster. Although I did go with a conventional tail which cut off some weight.

RE: Blade CP Drift

The trim is not enough to stop the drift to the left. I can move the cyclic to the right but it gets out of hand pretty quick.

Blade CP Drift

Hello all I purchased a Blade CP from a gentleman that could not get it to lift straight. It took me two days to get the blades balanced and tracking straight. After preflight checks and test run...

RE: Pardon my ignorance. What is S.P.A.D.? Corolast?

What Draftman said is correct. My last airframe I built cost me around 8 bucks and has survived multiple "rough" landings. Spads are the best.

RE: A newbie to coroplast.

I have never flashed my Coro......I just sand it with 100 grit paper and clean it with alcohol. I have never had a glue joint fail. Both methods work well though!!!

RE: Bending Coroplast?

Spring back is possible if you don't score it enough. I usually score it enough for the flutes to completely bend over. A router works great too just as Draftman1 said.

RE: Bending Coroplast?

Use a straight edge and "score " it with a phillips screw driver. Works great everytime, at least that is how I do it. You want to make sure you crush the flutes when you do it.

RE: Definition of a SPAD

SPAD is more of a concept than an actual definition. Many "Spadders" have assembled planes from spare parts into various Frankenplanes that flew very well. Go for it and you won't regret it.

RE: Rotofly - no control over cyclic

My swashplate was completely seated but the flybar was misaligned. No matter where the cyclic controls were at the fly bar was tilted and would not spin level. I adjusted the servo arm and got it to...

RE: Rotofly - drifts left & back

It does not appear so. The blade seems to remain horizontal. It does seem to tip forward and back a little more that side to side.
