RE: AJ-2 Construction Revisited

I won't tell you guys where that idea came from.. The first set I made and sold at the Nat's in 2007 for $5 each.. However, mine was made from a deepwell 1.4" socket..

It was even listed on the...

RE: need cg help

The worst flying quickie I ever flew had a positive wing and negative tail.. It didn't matter what I did I couldn't get it to fly right.. It wasn't mine but the guy that owned it told me to take it...

RE: need cg help

I guess I would start looking at the incidence on the firewall, wing and tail.. The center line of the engine doesn't have to be the center line of the fuse as long as it's straight.. Assuming the...

RE: glassing fuse question

Actually, if all you're looking to do is fill the weave (and not large low areas), there is so little spackle left after sanding that the primer pretty much soaks in and seals the spackle.. I've wet...

RE: glassing fuse question

I use lightweight drywall spackle.. Add a little water so it's the consistency of creamy peanut butter and work it in... I just put some on my fingers and work it into the glass.. Let it dry and then...

RE: What are the top 5 All composite Planes ?

Having flown just just about all of them I can tell you that you can't really go wrong with any of the above.. As RB mentioned, just go with what fits you're budget the best and have fun..

RE: AR-6 Wing mold construction

Not being one to go back on my word, I am sorry to say I am once again attacking a FG wing mold for the AR-6. After learning that my foam core wing construction skills leave much to be desired, I...

RE: Quick Repair before the Nats !!

Minor correction to my previous post.. The tips are designed at 0 degrees.. However, this wing is at -0.5 degrees. I don't think my thumbs will notice but I thought I better set the record straight.

RE: Quick Repair before the Nats !!

Well, thanks for all the suggestions.. I ended up using Randy's version with a couple mods.. After a couple beers and finally a F**K it attitude I started hacking away. I started by blocking up the...

RE: Quick Repair before the Nats !!

Thanks Barry.. Like I said, it flies pretty good once it's trimmed but I'm trying to make it a respectable showing for this model as I plan on selling some in the future..

RE: September Fury - a new Q-40 design

I may take it on once I get the AR-6 wing mold done.. I'm doing another fuse mold for the AR-6 this winter to ease the manufacturing.. Other than that I will be without a project and we can't have...

RE: MUBU II F5D Build

Neat little servos for sure.. However, since I'm already adding weight with the 426 engine, I'll stay with something beefier ;) I bet they would be great on the v-tail though.
