sounds like that easy access diff is flexing and messing up the gear mesh. that would be my guess as i have never had that heppen to me.

you have to hold the flywheel while you unscrew the screw that holds on the clutch bell. pliers with electrical tape on them works well for this. i believe that is what is happening. goodluck.

I always just follow the manual. I have broken in several engines including traxxas .15's, 2.5's, O.S. vz-b, hpi 15fe,hpi 2-25,k4.6 etc etc...

The engines make great power and last for a long...

The older 25 and 25 ss had the handle thing and the new X's have a plastic gaurd excactly like the linked one. It has worked good enough for me but i do understand wanting to protect your new head....

dogbones... i have snapped the rear left one 3 times. two hd and one standard so far. only that side too but i dont care cause it takes all of 5 minutes to replace it :)

140-180 is pretty low. the 4.6 really like the 220 to 240 range.
