RE: TT pro .46 broken carb

I gave the nut a good tap, and I think I ruined the bolt. It still didn't release. Sorry for the long time in between posts I was on vacation.

RE: Building 45 cc BIG Spad !!! Need advice, Materials, Corroplast or PVC fuse etc ??

The BUGOR (big ugly gasser on rails) sounds like it may work well for you. It's patterned after the BUHOR only scaled way up.

RE: TT pro .46 broken carb

No, I glued it but I let the carb body dry long before I put it into the engine. It's not glued in, I'm quite certain, but I can't seem to back the carb retaining bolt out.

RE: TT pro .46 broken carb

Well, it's the locking nut that you tighten down to hold the carb in place. I also can't get the broken piece of carb out, it's stuck very tightly. Any ideas?

RE: Harbor sales????? shipping?

I think 4' is as long as you can get it. But you can build an 8' wing with two sheets of 4' coro.

RE: TT pro .46 broken carb

ok, well I repaired the broken carb, but it broke again while testing. Now the piece is stuck again, but this time with a vengeance. I can't seem to get it out at all. I think I may have ruined...

RE: Extra... concern

Yeah, flutter got my BUHOR on the last crash. I watched my elevator flap in the breeze as she went down "landing" by the edge of a pond. It was so close that the tail was actually touching the...

RE: 2nd SPAD Extra with its new colors!

SPADS are great, stress level is so low when flying them. My old Cub was just a heart break waiting to happen

RE: 2nd SPAD Extra with its new colors!

I know how those reactions go. When I took my BUHOR to the field the guy knew me before when I had my Cub (balsa), so he didn't give me a rough time with the spad. He was surprised at how well it...

RE: Extra... concern

Yes, I will most likely have someone get it trimmed for me and then hand me the controls. Usually it's a buddy box thing where he trims it on my radio (master), and then gives control to me (slave...

RE: Extra... concern

With a full tank I'd imagine it would be enough to make it nose heavy. It requires very little to push it over the other way.

Extra... concern

Hi, I just completed my first SPAD extra (thanks acam), and I have some concerns. My balance is very slightly behind the spar, maybe 1 cm towards the tail. Is this okay? Will it harm anything? ...

RE: B.U.H.O.R Biuld

I've had a wing with a not so straight leading edge, but it wasn't quite that crooked. I'm sure it will fly, but it may take longer to take off and may have some strange flight characteristics. I...

RE: TT pro .46 broken carb

I put the two pieces back together and they seem to run well while they stay stuck. I ordered the carb body from paulsmod for 15 shipped. I don't believe I'll risk a dead stick this weekend. ...

RE: 2nd SPAD Extra with its new colors!

I would have pics right now if my digi cam wasn't crap. I'll take some with our regular camera and have them put on a cd at wal mart. Mine looks nice but it doesn't have any vinyl on it. I figure...
