RE: RC helis... addictive... painful.

I hate crashing also....try to be careful and at the same time trying new stuff which sometimes turns scary real fast. Another thing pointed out at the field to me are mechanical issues which will...

RE: Newb has 2 new questions for each thing learned

Okay...lets start with the swash. Look at the cyclic servos that move the swash when mid stick on the throttle, motor unplugged, linear curves on the radio. The arms on the servos should be at 90...

RE: Newb has 2 new questions for each thing learned

Not true! Way too much information to digest all at one time. Go by the feel of the heli for now. Tighten the blades like you think they should be tightened. Don't worry about dual rates and expo...

RE: Don't laugh guys this is funny and true

Ya know what's nice about this hobby...a properly trimmed 500 can be flown or hovered rather in a smaller space then that indoors. No kiddin! I wouldn't have believed it myself unless I did it....

RE: help me

Take a deep breath, don't be in a hurry and don't get discourged. The TB effect means something is out of balance or bent. You need to go over the entire heli and this is the time you invest in...

RE: You Have To watch This video

Very Very Cool...I've seen it before also a few times and that is the way I like to see a heli fly...like real. Looks stable.

RE: NO SIM FOR MAC??????

Seems like everything is built around the PC platform. If MAC was ever gonna dominate it would have done so by now. Get a PC, it plugs into the world.

RE: New Pilot with Blade 400

Hello and congrats on your 400. I've only been flying a few years now but found that I can do things on the sim that I can't do in real time. Ya gotta like working on heli's as much as you do flying...

RE: building helicopter

Beginner? More information is needed. Probably would help to post your experience if any. I found messing around with the smaller stuff first helps you out. Learn to repair that stuff, it will help...

RE: HoneyBee FP receiver antenna wire

I have several 72MHZ heli's and shortened the antenna, both the receiver and radio. Google Tony's flywire for Helicopter (receiver) and Smileys for the Tx if you want to shorten that. I can say they...

RE: Questions about purchasing trex 500

I love the 500ESP. I am almost finished the build and can not believe how well everything is beefed up. I didn't realize how much was involved in programming especially with the DX7, not hard but...

RE: Belt-Cp Question

Okay, I'll accept that. It felt really intimidating the first few flights after I could actually fly it. Now it seems more like a rock with less response. I guess a better 450 is the next thing....

Belt-Cp Question

I've been flying this for a few months now and beginning to notice the forward and reverse cyclic is not as responsive as the micro's. Is this normal cause it's a larger heli. Sometimes it feels like...

RE: Differance between sim and real deal?

Difference is...the real thing is different however, the two are closely related. Gotta do both and they compliment each other. Absolutely the sim helps with orientation and trying new things but...

RE: Giving up on flying

Yeah...don't give up. If your a little frustrated let it go for a while then go back to it. Your gonna crash but chaulk it up to part of the learning process. If it were easy everybody would be...

RE: Repair Honey Bee Paddle Control Frame?

I've seen that done, a small pin, it may have been a straight pin that they used. I haven't done that myself but it looks like it will work. I believe they used some thread and CA wrapped around the...

RE: Esky Honey Bee

I'm using a stock motor right now with 11.1 Volt pack. One of the heli's is 1000mah battery. The extra weight means nothing with the 11.1 volt Lipo. I'm going to go brushless, have the parts but not...

Hello all,
I seem to have some interest lately in trying my luck with a plane. My love is for heli's and that's what I fly. I would want something slow maybe not real easy. I kind of get a kick out...

RE: Esky Honey Bee

Hey guys,

I have a few HBFP's running a brushed motor with 11.1 V lipo. Faster and more power for me....the 4 in 1 will handle it. I've made so many changes with a longer tail boom aluminum,...
