My post disappeared again!

I posted a question this morning regarding the availability of a better/bigger fixed-pitch heli than the Honeybee and now it's gone. This has happened to me twice before on RCU. I would suspect I'm...

RE: Thinking about getting back into R/C

sscherin -

Thanks for that info and links. I still have a lot to consider on these helis, but it seems quite a bit more expensive to get a proper heli set up than a proper plane. I want to be...

RE: Thinking about getting back into R/C

Thanks for the responses so far. Apparently the JR 7202 includes a synthesized receiver, because they claim no-crystal frequency changes. And thanks for the tip on getting a heli version to fly...

Thinking about getting back into R/C

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here goes...

I was into R/C airplanes in the late 60's thru 1971 when I was in the Air Force. Mostly sport flying and a little pattern ...

Skids for HBFP

Well, I've finally managed to hover a few times, never more than a few seconds at a time, and most landings have been controlled (somewhat) crashes. I've broken the landing skids a few times... this...

Does Heli-sim have sound?

I've been using FMS for a few days now, but the heli (fixed-pitch Dragonfly) seems unrealistically stable compared to my HBFP. I heard about Heli-sim, another free simulator, on one of these forums...

RE: How to download/use models for FMS

broke.. thanks for that, I'm working on it. I registered at rc-sim... they said my code was sent via e-mail... haven't received it yet.

How to download/use models for FMS

Ok, to all those out there who know more about computers than I do (most everyone, I suspect)... I set up FMS off the CD included with my new Honeybee and it only includes about 6 models. I've found...

RE: HBFP - did I get myself in too deep?

I just a few minutes ago finished my 8th battery with my HBFP, sort of following Radds, trying to keep the tail straight (flying the nose), and still have not successfully been able to hover. I can...

RE: FMS with Esky 4ch Tx

Problem solved!!! Apparently I had two issues... one, I found and downloaded the "FMS Operations" manual (tti-us.com) and followed the instructions under "USB interface", but what finally through...

FMS with Esky 4ch Tx

I posted this before (this am), but it seems to have disappeared. I just received a new HBFP with FMS CD and USB cable for the Tx. FMS loaded fine and works with the keyboard. My computer says...

HBFP is here already!

I just ordered an HBFP and some spare parts from Ka-planes last Friday evening, and it's already here! Fantastic service and everything I ordered was included. I've just unpacked it and thought that...

RE: Honeybee FP - so many versions!

Mike... my original e-mail was sent to you, dated 3/4 5:04pm. Your "autoresponder" replied "ka-planes has received your e-mail and will respond shortly"... then 2 days went by. My wife resubmitted...

RE: Honeybee FP - so many versions!

I received a reply from ka-planes regarding the USB/simulator cable. It is NOT included with the HBFP at $99.99. They will sell you one for $9.99 extra.

RE: Honeybee FP - so many versions!

Well... I can't seem to get anywhere with this HBFP. Both xheli and nitro websites won't let me order due to a "cookie" problem with my computer (never been a problem with other sites), and I can't...

Fixed pitch heli bigger than Honeybee?

Does anyone make a larger (28" rotor or so) fixed-pitch heli. It's my understanding that larger helis are more stable and easier to control. That, and the fact that fixed-pitch helis are cheaper...

RE: Honeybee FP - so many versions!

Nuttcaze... I want to deal with someone reputable, who will be there if (when!) I have a problem, but Ka-planes wants 10 bucks more for the HBFP than these other guys, and $10 more for the simulator...

RE: Honeybee FP - so many versions!

I've been lurking on these forums for a week or two and am also ready to get one of the Honeybee FP's. I've also noted the different model numbers, battery configurations and prices at Hobby Lobby,...

No single-stick radios?

I was into R/C back in the late 60's, mostly sport flying and some pattern. Now that I'm retired and have the time, I'm considering getting back into building and flying again. My last radio was a...

Single-stick radios all gone?

I've been out of R/C since the early 70's, but lately I find myself checking out RCM & other mags to see what's up. My last (and favorite) radio was a Kraft Series 70 single-stick with a knob on top...
