RE: Intimidator II Construction Thread

I see. I guess it is there just hard to understand. The word Aileron makes me think of the piece I cut off not the inset created by cutting the ailerons out.

RE: Intimidator II Construction Thread

These instructions suck. How deep chordwise are the ailerons supposed to be? I see they are 10" but then it says:

"Now, the ailerons must be cut out. Make two marks on each wing panel at 8"...

RE: Intimidator II Construction Thread

I am at a stand still until I get some push rods for the tail. I don't want to sheet the top until I have that done. I have the Wheels, JETT tank, motor, servos etc. All I need is engine mount,...

RE: Intimidator II Construction Thread

Looking good. I am right behind you in progress. What engine are you installing? This will be my first Quickie so i will be running an OS .25FX for the local .25 class. My first thought was to...

RE: Intimidator II Construction Thread

RE: Intimidator II Construction Thread

Can't wait till you get to the fuselage. I have mocked mine up with clamps to check fit and the (2) plywood blocks that will take the 4 screws to hold the wing on don't look right in my kit. They...

RE: Flybarless systems kinda curious?

Flybarless helis are also easier to fly. Yes I said it. They also handle the wind better. That doesnt mean that a beginner has to go flybarless but I have transitioned all my birds that were...

Anyone built a Nat'l Balsa INTIMIDATOR 2 Q500?

Hi I ordered the National Balsa INTIMIDATOR 2 Q500 kit. The instructions are very limited and there are no pictures. http://www.nationalbalsa.com/v/vspfiles/downloadables/Intimid2.pdf

The...

RE: Raptor 30, whats it worth used?

How does it fly? Raptors actually fly pretty well without all the fancy electronics. I paid $500 for my raptor 30 with a TT Pro .39, 401 Gyro, and analog servos. I feel it was a deal but maybe not...

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects

I agree subtrim is ok.. It is just another way to center a servo and doesnt affect the rate of travel in either direction. And since the rudder servo acts indepentantly unlike the cyclic servos I...

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects

In Heading Hold mode it should be about impossible to set end points and basically do any radio adjustments to the servo at least thats my experience. Rate mode is usually how you set up a gyro so...

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects

Yoo bad no one has replied. Set the gyro up on rate mode. That will give you true dead center for you to get 90 deg on your servo arm. Just zero trim, and subtrim then take all the gain out of the...

RE: HK 450 or Copter X?

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects

I use the weights. I did a google search and some say that the weights hurt you in the wind and some say it doesnt matter. When I planted my blade 400 I had double flybar weights on it and a gust...

RE: Trex 450 CLONE WARS

For 500's mainly battery and servo cost goes up I think. Like I said the EXI 450SE CF is all metal and CF. Really no hop-ups needed. I even like the included fiberglass blades but I may try some...

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
