Is your gearing 26/72? if so stay with that for now. See how hot the ESC get after 5 minutes. The original gearing should be ok.

This was my first buggy too. it can take a beating. you will like your choice. but you must change that steering servo for it is super weak. and you need to change the diff oil to something thicker....

Shab - you ask some good questions.
the hypers are the more race buggies and probably have the most in hopup parts.
the ultra series is a beginner/intermediate buggy. with alot of parts that work...
