VVRC 40cc and noise

I measured the VVRC with the standard mufflers: 98 dB which is much too loud (20x8 XOAR @ 6400rpm)
I'm experimenting with some sort of noise damper plugs. Actually I'm down to 82 dB but the engine...

I just put a piece of foam under the struts and secure the struts to the wing bolt with a rubber band. As simple as that....
