Yes it would.
In my own experience, i own a 1/10 Firestorm and 3 1/8 buggies that i use for different purposes. I personally find the 1/8s more fun to drive, onroad, tracks, and drag runs.

A truggy is better at bashing than speed runs on road. I would recommend 8k-10k-5k for fluids. i have tried this combination on my D8 and it performs really well.

I think u have to calibrate the throttle on the ESC. It should have a set button next to the power. go back to the manual to see how to do it.

My motor do not suffer from high temp. The max temp i ever reached was 68C during summer. Now with the outside temp at 5~7C i doubt it reaches the 50C.

Actually i replaced the bearings with new ones when i replaced the chassis. The car is very smooth when i move it by hand.
There are no solder points on the esc or the motor, just the connection...
