Chevelle, I got a good laugh at John Cole's next to last sentence. "But getting back on this horse is what exceptional builders/designers do."
Hell, that's what the original full size...

RE: Seidel 7-70 radial: Help me decide!

You need to get one of those, Bob.
Its a excellent kit and Randy's build thread is a great help for anyone starting to build one.
Lots of interesting color schemes for that one too.

Look at the fun you would have scaling up a Tupelov to insert that combo in. [sm=75_75.gif]

RE: scale turnbuckles - is there a need?

Most likely not produced because of the additional milling for the tapered & hex center barrel would push the cost up too much.

RE: scale turnbuckles - is there a need?

Thanks GianFrancesco, That looks like a good way to do it.
I will dig up a diagram of Mick Reeves fittings to show what he came up with in this area. When dismantling the model the tension setting...

RE: scale turnbuckles - is there a need?

It's very easy to order from Mick & others in the UK. The exchange rate is not bad at this time & delivery times are not excessive either.

RE: !/4 scale WWI kits?

Hey Don,
You would not be surprised to learn how many models have been scaled up or down because of cowl (pot) or wheel size. Those are 2 items that have dictated more model sizes than you can...

RE: Seidel 7-70 radial: Help me decide!

Randy,
As long as you realize it is a questionable copy of a Seidel. The guys remarks about receiving them dirty makes me wonder. A thousand dollar + paperweight is expensive artwork!
