With the bigger wheels I would drop down to a 14 - 15T . Pretty sure they are .6 mod .
You will have a lower wheel speed but go further every turn .
I suggest a temp gun , that way you can check...

It should get there on 3S with enough capacity .
Whats the original gearing ? Sometimes better to gear down when going from 2S to 3S to keep temps under control ....

Those finned motors are usually little motors inside big cases . Thats how they fit the grooves in the case .
