I would rent a good contractor grade unit like Titan or Graco they will spray better plus the low priced ones from box stores tend to not work after being stored from one use anyway.

Residual water in the hose after flushing the unit out is pretty normal with airless if your going to leave in storage a while make sure to use something like pump armour which is an oil to protect...
