RE: truggy pics.........

Here is a new lid I painted on Saturday. I think it came out pretty well for my first attempt at painting.

RE: T REX 450 SE suggestions

Agreed, HS-65MG servos on cyclic, and GY401/S9650 are pretty much the standard setup for the 450 helis. 9257 is a better/faster tail servo, but keep in mind you cannot run it on 6 volts... Whatever...

RE: Spektrum DX-7

My mistake, by "remotes" I was thinking the Tx, not the satellite recievers.

RE: Spektrum DX-7

According to that link, it looks like that the transmitter needs to be sent in with the reciever(s) for the update as well?

RE: I wish AMA's MA magazine would.....

I find it funny and ironic that you scream about MA being an "old man's" magazine and "it should cater to younger people and the popular aspects of modeling", yet turn around and bash what is likely...

RE: I wish AMA's MA magazine would.....

Care to expound upon that? Is it your position that it's not a hobby if there is an ARF/RTF involved?

RE: MX450 XS Discussion Thread

DO IT:D

Seriously, I bought a 600N and it's simply awesome. I'm no expert pilot but it's confidence-inspiring to say the least.

Not to pull the thread off track, my 450XS has been...

Please suggest a glider for me....

I had a few electric powered gliders back when I was 16-18. 2 meter Carl Goldberg Electras.

I've had a bunch of small electric airplanes, aerobatic glow, etc... I mainly do helis now.

Safety alert for those of you using Align's fiberglass 600A blades...

If they're the "FG" serial number run, get them off your helis.

The carbon blades of that serial number run are not the only ones throwing weights. My FG fiberglass blades threw a weight last...

RE: OS 50 Hyper - DEAD!

Ha, Align isn't going to give me crap, they might send me another set of blades which I'll use for paint sticks. No comfort when a new(to me) heli is severly broken.

Details here:

RE: OS 50 Hyper - DEAD!

That wreckage pile looks very similar to mine.

I had a blade throw a weight on Sunday, 2nd flight on the blades and the heli.

Resulting carnage:

RE: MX450 XS Discussion Thread

Ah ok, I didn't know it was common to find it for 200. I guess I saw it at Tower for 250 when I first bought it. Now I see it's at 200.

I'm not really bashing, I DO like the MX. I really...

It depends on which model of trex you're comparing...

I just bought the Trex pictured above. It was the same price as my MX450, and though it doesn't have the all-metal tail and head(some of...

RE: MX450 XS Discussion Thread

Do any of you know if the align ball ends for the 450 will fit on the balls of the MX450? I got a set of align swash/pitch linkages and I'll have to check the length, but the quality is way better. ...

RE: Hey guys, need help which heli

Fewer linkages and fewer moving parts equals less play in the system and less slop, period.

RE: Hey guys, need help which heli

I never said anyone HAD to convert.

My opinion is 120 deg ccpm is easier to set up, less linkages and fewer moving parts equals less slop.

JMO, worth what you paid for it.

RE: Upcoming Blade 400?!

Adding something that was missed a couple pages back:

DX7 regular version comes with an AR7000 reciever and 4 digital servos, all of which are too large to be used in any 450-size heli. You...

RE: Venom NR 3D XL

I'll put in a few of my thoughts.

Pass on the Night Ranger. It ain't worth 500 bucks. Comes with a crap radio, parts will be harder to get than other choices. The aftermarket is slim for it....
