Fair points - fully agree. My rational - I am not saying mine is right - is LEDs last a very long time. I have yet to replace any leads installed in the past 10 years.

I skipped the bulb and just replaced the full units... too much of a hassle trying to figure out if the bulb or the fixture was broken. More expensive, but everything works.
