Theres a tiny split in the pipe at the top and bottom of the bifurcation.
the photo doesn't show it that well, but you could fit a scalpel tip into it.

The hotspot appears just rear of the end of the bifurcation. The outer wall of the pipe at the bifurcation has split. It's nothing that a couple of small rivets...

Double skin tailpipe and heat

Hi All,
ive a yellow aircraft F15 with a twin wall bifurcated pipe. I've bought it second hand and just flown it for the first time.
ive noticed a US quarter size patch of paint on the underside...
