RE: lipo shootout2- no max amps again :(

I think that Turnigy is supposed to be hk's premium or race brand while zippy is the sport brand.

From the first and second shootout, I believe you are correct. Manufacturers were invited. Not...

RE: lipo shootout2- no max amps again :(

In BigSquids defense, they test package that the manufacturers are willing to send. If they did not test Reedy, SMC, or your favorite then shame on them.

RE: lipo shootout2- no max amps again :(

I read it tonight and found it interesting, specifically because a ton of people at my track run the Venom's and seen to be quite happy with them. I just bought two, and so far so good. Good run...

RE: traxxas slash

Let me guess, you are rolling the heck out of it in tight turns?

I found that I get more stability on high traction surfaces (grass, pavement, etc) by moving the front shocks to the outside hole...

That link doesn't work for me. What did you get?

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Thanks! With steady throttle control keeping it on the tack wasn't too hard. 2WD with stock tires == slow and steady wins the race. This particular track is built with 8th scale in mind, large...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Yep, a wind sock was definitely in order for that race [sm=thumbup.gif]. The day started out nice, some rain the night before so the track was nice and sticky (good for Spec SCT), then in the...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Told ya! ;)

They really roll on pavement and grass, soft suspension with those tires will do that. I wish I had a sticky tire problem at the track yesterday. Traction was terrible because...

RE: Micro high roller opinions

BTW, there is a crap-ton of info on Losi Micro's at this site: http://www.microtforum.com/forum/

RE: Micro high roller opinions

If you want to go brushless in the MHR, you need a new ESC/Motor (obviously), new Radio / receiver, and a new Servo (3 wire to work with standard receivers).

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

{Soooo off topic - The wire came off of the battery?! Weird. I think that those Traxxas connectors are just crimped from the factory. I never ran mine with the Traxxas connectors.. changed...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

NO! I have the GPM's, they have the same problem as the Losi shocks.. get the 3Racing ones that Shortbus has, they have the ball cup.

RE: Micro high roller opinions

I have not, but I hear they are good to go. I have ordered from thetoys.com though, A+ on the service there.

RE: Micro high roller opinions

No intention to bash you or anything, just wanted to make the point. These little trucks wheelie lots with the heavier/larger tires. High COG will do that. The ram tires are also a LOT wider.

RE: Micro high roller opinions

Your best bet is to put the threaded axles on your High Roller, then you can use any of the Micro-T tires/rims, and you won't have to deal with those stupidly tiny clips. The High Roller has...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Michael,

I havn't seen anyone using the 3Racing shocks yet. Vectorhive has Losi and I have GPM, both of which have "standard" shock caps without a ball. I have to imagine that the 3Racing...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Same here. Apparently the Strike has tons of problems out of the box due to poor materials for key components (Transmission, dogbones, etc) not to mention that it is not ROAR legal, even though my...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Well, I do still like the MDB and I'm not ready to write it off yet. My shocks are "working" for me, but your customer service experience kinda tilts my opinion. I have heard a lot of negatives...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

I hear ya, that does suck. I was planning to buy another one of these for my son to run on the track I plan to build this spring. Now I am re-thinking the track design to make it 1/10 friendly to...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Wow, what happened Vectorhive? Bad experience with customer service? I have only called Horizon once and that was something like 10 years ago, and to be honest I really don't remember how it went.

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Yes I agree. I wasn't very happy when my new shocks arrived and I had to crossthread the mounting hole on the roll cage to get them to fit. I am thinking that the 3racing shocks might be better,...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

The fuel tubing idea is great, I wish I had seen that before I x-threaded my mount points. You mention that the shocks will not rebound fully, with my gpm shocks I have to use the heavy springs in...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Thanks for the welcome Chuck. It's funny you mention the Slash, I was at a LHS today and they just got a shipment of the new (2wd) Slash's that come with 2.4ghz Radio and 7-cell. I couldn't resist,...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Wow, a member for 6-ish years and this is my first post.

So I bought the GPM shocks, and they are similar to the Losi's in that their is a ball on the bottom, but a bushing at the top. I just...
