I used the recommended throws, and about 5% down with a three positions switch operating the flaps.

I would not hold your breath for the retracts. But the Staggerwing I fly has a 160 OS in it and it fly's very well at 1/2 throttle. It takes off at 1/3 throttle so the G 23 may be enought IF you...

I have the 160 OS all I can say is it is the short est one he sells. It is the 3/8 24 short.

I use the 160 engine and the clearance between the prop and the cowling is about 1/8th inch with the spinner back plate in place.

The wheels that come with the kit are about 4 inches and they work with the Robart struts.
