Replacing the motor on Starmax FA-18 64mm

Hi, I'm about to replace the motor on my 64mm Starmax FA18 with a new 'Wicked' one from Dons RC. Silly as it seems, I seem not to be able to remove the stock engine from the stock fan. Anyone done...

Do I need to send the entire radio back, or will it do with just the broken knob ? The plastic arm that is to press the button on the circuitboard looks weak, so I guess more will break in time....

Thanks, I dismounted the main blades and span up - the flybar was not tracking even without the blades and while checking all the head screws one of the little silver ones that attaches to the flybar...

I just upgraded my stock belt to the Esky CNC kit for the main rotor. Since I've had a very hard time getting the tracking right, it's usually way of in either direction, and half a turn thows it way...

What flight time do you get from your 2100 mah ones as compared to the 1800mah. On my 1800 mah Esky LiPo I get aroung 9 minutes of 'easy flying' and hovering. How does that compare to a 2100 mah ?

Thanks guys, first time I set the copter up I set it up in rate mode (by adjusting the broom servo position) - then switched to HH. I'll skip the rate setup completely now, and redo it for HH...

Thanks, will give it a shot! How about fiddling around with the gyro gain - how does more / less gain affect the charateristics of the gyro and the copter ? I've adjusted gyro gain on the tx from 80%...

I was referring to the antenna on the transmitter, not the reciever. Thanks for the heads up on the Spektrum, looks good by the specs. Can I keep the ESC/Servos/gyro with this one ?

When I connect the battery to the heli without the transmitter powered on the servos just sit there, and all appears normal. When I connect the battery to the heli with the transmitter on all servos...
