A question for you Gasser Guys. Is there a way to lighten up ignition setups? The case seems a little overdone and with the advent of 2.4, do we need the shielded plugwire?

Your thoughts?

Using Todd's IBE plugged into the reciever. 2600 mah 7.4V lipo into MPI reg to 6V into the RX.

Regular white from McMaster Carr. It is holding up so far but I'm sure it will blow the 1st round of the 1st contest.
I wonder if some screen over it would help it to hold up. The turbo...

I do have some of the turbo hose but haven't used any yet. I have been using some 7/8 regular silicon hose and surprisingly it has held up so far in my testing. I'll use it till it blows and ...

Question.. What does it really take to break this thing in? How do you know when its there? I would not have any problem putting this engine on a plane right now but...

Just got the 1st 1/2 gal through my new motor. Set up is 40:1 non synthetic with IBE, APC 18.1x10 and ES30G pipe. The motor started easily and is very user friendly. Outside of blowing black tarry...

Just ordered this morning with the IBE. I will be running this motor with an ES30G pipe and a Dave Ruminski soft mount in a pattern plane. (Guerrin built Brio)

LP18110 is the manufacturers #. Not the wide.... LXRCJ4 is the Tower #.

I have 3 different OS160 FX motors and they all tach right around 8000 with the 18.1x10 APC.

Todd,
18.1x10 is the prop. This is the most widely used prop I see used on IC engines in pattern.
When I get the engine I have a bunch of pattern props to get the numbers on.

We run the 18.1x10 APC on many different engines. Tower and central sells them , and many other places too I'm sure.
