RE: xxx sct ball diff pricing?

OK, if the outdrives and rings are the same as the XXX/T/SCT, then he should be gravy. ThunderbirdJunkie's only question is whether it comes with the HD thrust bearing and new style spring and the...

RE: Smoking mamba monster ESC

ITBJHO, if you're not going to go Tekin, go Hobbywing or Dualsky...he's lost his faith in Castle's equipment, and quite frankly, they're not even that good of a value. The MMP is $120, but you can...

RE: Newbie

The E-Savage isn't particularly well supported for parts, and ITBJRC has been discontinued. The Savage XS is basically an overpowered ridiculously fun brick, and the Flux HP is an overpoewred,...

RE: xxx sct ball diff pricing?

RE: driver's seat position

ThunderbirdJunkie sits closer to the wheel than his woman (6'1 for ThunderbirdJunkie, 5'8" for the woman)

His thighs are slightly elevated, knees above hips, knees at about a 45* angle, elbows...

RE: Bad front CV-axles

Bro, you live in the salt belt, you need to get your car aligned every 6 months minimum.

How are your tie rod ends?

RE: What would make truck drive slower (outside of battery)?

Mabuchis are quite a bit different than the 550 stuff they're putting in RTRs nowadays. That's like saying a Kia Rio's engine should last 400,000 miles because a Mercedes Benz diesel does it with no...

RE: I heard your having brushless problems.

You switched transmitters too, probably.

Recalibrate your ESC to your current radio and you should be gravy.

RE: What would make truck drive slower (outside of battery)?

If you have a car that you drive every other day for 30 minutes at a time for a month that's 7.5 hours of runtime.

That's freaking good time out of one of those crap stock closed endbell motors,...

RE: What cars have you owned?

Miami, having owned a '98 and '01 Exploder (XLT and Eddie), ThunderbirdJunkie has to ask if you have any pictures of yours.

RE: B3 vs B4

OG B4 vs late build B3, the B3 has an advantage on the track because when the B4 came out setups were still a mystery.

Compare that B3 to a B4.1 Worlds car and it will drive like an ox cart.

RE: 8.4 Nimh vs. 7.4 LIPO

What was the C rating on the 4000mah battery?

In anything brushless, a 2S LiPo should walk all over any 7 cell NiMh all day, every day.

RE: B3 vs B4

Purple stuff was optional from AE, but no, it didn't come with the kit originally.

*EDIT*

RE: Need Recommendations: Slash 2WD front shock replacement

x100, even build them right with stock stuff, the stock plastic Traxxas shocks work just dandy. If you want to upgrade them, get the Pro Line Powerstrokes.

RE: which motor for our model?

RE: B3 vs B4

The B4 is head and shoulders more durable than the B2/3. ThunderbirdJunkie has owned and raced both. The nice thing is they still make parts for the B4; not the B2/3. Whenever AE is out of parts for...

RE: Losi XXX-SCT or AE SC10 RS Procomp

The Castle Sidewinder systems are junk, stay away. ThunderbirdJunkie never thought he'd say this, but go Novak or Hobbywing for a budget brushless system. Novak's Edge 2S systems go for around 150ish.
