RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

ThunderbirdJunkie is more interested in what wire he used...because if he used an AM/FM antenna, then his radio is not going to act properly.

Yeah, but you're smart enough to be working on things. Y'know...not a ham-fisted hack.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

OK. Now try calibrating the speed control. If that doesn't help, or at least change something, flip the Ch2 switch to R, and retry calibrating the speed control.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

The speedo (ESC, speed contol) is definitely not acting right.

Go here:

Read the calibration part. In your case, instead...

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

ThunderbirdJunkie's truck had a hair of positive camber when he installed his TRA2443 links. Never install turnbuckles without adjusting them.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

That isn't frequent. ThunderbirdJunkie has run the snot out of his stock ESC and it's just dandy. Happened to have an RX8 laying around, so it went in :)

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Sounds like a typical Castle sensorless ESC/motor combo. ThunderbirdJunkie's did that too until he installed his RX8.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Motor/ESC can stay until they fry. The motor performs well, ITBJHO, and the ESC you'll be unlikely to have issues out of unless you run 3S.

The XS3 is still a valid radio. If you've got...
