It isn't necessary to remove the idle needle to check the oring. Just see how easily the needle rotates. If it is completely free with no resistance to rotation at all, then you have a problem and...

Scotty you might want to check the oring on your idle needle, that's all that keeps it in place. If it is hard from age then it can move from where you have adjusted it from the engine vibration and...
