RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

It will take 2 cells for a receiver pack which is 7.4 volts. That is too much without a regulator, 6 volts is the maximum you should run, a 5 cell ni-cad is what most run. The ignition on the...

RE: Aviation Models/TOC 30% Extra 260 BUILD THREAD

I went with the carbon gear from TBM. It adds tons of prop clearance but I had to redrill the mounting hloes in the fuse to make it work. I think it was around 50 bucks. Let us know how the maiden...

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

I have noticed I need to compensate with ailerons and elevator in knife edge so I guess I need to check mine out. I love the way it flies now I really can't imagine if were better. I would have to...

RE: Aviation Models/TOC 30% Extra 260 BUILD THREAD

I sadly haven't even been able to fly for the last few weeks . I am nursing a bad disc in my back so the Extra is still sitting there. That almost hurts as much as my back because I have everything...

RE: Review: EF Yak 74" and Brillelli 46cc

To begin with I had my throttle servo on the motor box and the range check running was good for about 75 feet. I moved it under the wing tube and my range check doubled in distance or more.

RE: 55" WS 3D Hobbyshop Extra 300SHP --AWESOME

Sweet!!! Impressive video. It looked like it was quite a bit of wind and still fairly stable.

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

Well put Sinergy. I will be using Li-po in mt Extra 260 30% just because it has the Brilleli 50 with the li-po safe ignition so I will only be running one regulator. That should save me a few ounces....

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

I get my servos from Tower Hobbies. For a regulator I use the smart fly failsafe regulator and I use thunder power lipos. I went with ni-cads in this plane I use the lipos in my larger planes.

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

Check out the Hitec 5625mg. I am using those on aileron and elevator with a 5645 on the rudder.

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

Should be close to 12 pounds. I don't think I would give up my switches for weight savings though. Seems like unneeded strain on the battery connectors and if you need to turn it off in a hurry: say...

RE: Aviation Models/TOC 30% Extra 260 BUILD THREAD

Well I am still moving a little slow on my build but I did come up with something pretty cool. I marked the holes to drill for my tail wheel (Sullivan) removed the little door in the tail and...

RE: Best .90-1.20 Yak??

Extreme Flight 74 inch Yak would be a great airframe for that motor. I cant compare it to the others though. It is very stable at everything I have tried and I am at 12.5 pounds with the 46cc...

RE: Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 - 74 inch!

My setup weighs 12.5 pounds with the Brilleli 46. It is one awesome combo rock solid in harriers and like you say easiest plane to hover I have ever flown. I have been fighting the urge to order the...

RE: Review: EF Yak 74" and Brillelli 46cc

It will be worth the wait. I had to wait a while for my 46 as well but it was worth it. It is one fun combination it will punch out of a hover like a foamy and is very reliable! I have about 4 tanks...

RE: H9 Extra 260 Twist Aileron

Try a sealing iron on the side that is not twisted or a heat gun. That will get rid of the twist but you will need to check it from time to time to make sure the twist doesn't come back.

RE: Yaks Suck Whats The Big Deal

Just remember to keep it light as you can or it will be a disappointment to you. Have you thought about a Saito 82 it is much lighter and very powerful. It has the same dimensions as a .46 sized...

RE: SD Models Extra 260

I am building one myself now. I went with 5645s on everything but the rudder and I am using a 5955 on that. I think the 37oz of torque will help with centering these control surfaces better myself I...

RE: Seagul models harrier need help!!!

www.scottellingson.com
I am not saying that the gasser is the best option for the Harrier I was just suggesting a lighter one. The 25cc is 42oz ready to fly so a smaller fuel tank with gas and...

RE: Seagul models harrier need help!!!

I would say it would be too much. I don't think it would fit in the cowl I could be wrong. You might think about something in the 25cc. Check out the Brilleli 25 that might be just what the doctor...

RE: Dual Servo for Elevator - Extra 330

I don't think you can program dual elevator servos on a 6 channel Futaba radio I may be wrong. I know you can with the JR 6102 if you want to stay with a 6 channel radio. A much cheaper option would...

RE: Yaks Suck Whats The Big Deal
