Gotta say I agree with that sentiment. With my Polk's Tracker III, for $200 I was able to fly on any of the 72MHz channels... both transmitter and receiver were synthesized. Also can fly anything...

How does this surface (or at least your old GeoTex) compare to flying off very short grass fields... and how durable? Will it withstand prop-strikes, etc?

That used to be a very LARGE plane... those splinters account for over 4 feet of fuselage plus tail and engine nacelle. If you click t the link... you can also see the plane BEFORE it was smashed...

Thanks for the advice...and yes, that prop is getting LOUD. I don't think I have the clearance for a 20 inch prop... I will start looking for a 3-blade... good thing I have a good handle on this...

I have a US Engines 35cc on my Dynaflight Super Decathlon. I bought the engine used off eBay about 6 months before I finished the plane... so other than mounting it to a stand and running it for 1...

The guys in my club swear by the cow patties... sure they are messy and smelly... but they really cushion a crash landing nicely! Just hope you don't get any down in your carb!
