RE: Who sells a good 2100 pack nowadays?

I like the new Hyperion batteries here; http://www.bmkdesigns.net/Li-Poly-c-50.html I can charge the 2100 at 10 amps in 15 minutes or less.

RE: what motor,esc,batt, for a .20 size p51

RE: Need help choosing a speed control

I agree the Phx-60 is a great ESC but the Scorpion speed controls are rated to 4S lipo out of the box.

RE: NEED MORE POWER...12mm Muedusa to???? for Micro Stick?

RE: esc help

I would get a Pixie 20 from Castle Creations. Great little speed controls and the only one I use any, way better than the GWS.

RE: NEED MORE POWER...12mm Muedusa to???? for Micro Stick?

Funny, I have run this exact setup with the outside temp well over 100 degrees and never had a problem with cooling. For that matter my Power Analyzer has never shown that combo to run near 10 amps...

RE: NEED MORE POWER...12mm Muedusa to???? for Micro Stick?

Go with a 3x3 GWS prop and a 3-cell, then don't look back. Just make sure the lipos can handle about 7 amps of continuous current. I usually use a TP730 3-cell with that setup on my small wings.

RE: NEED MORE POWER...12mm Muedusa to???? for Micro Stick?

Don't go to the Feigao motor you will lose power. What battery, Medusa, and prop are you using now?

I have used both motors and the Medusa is a far superior motor to the Feigaos.

What speed control it may be a timing issue? I have never had a problem with any of my Medusa 12mm Motors, even the one I ran 4s.

RE: Hacker A20-20L vs Scorpian 2215-18

That will be a great motor for the 15oz. plane. I have a friend that has the 2215-22 on a 24oz. plane it it has more than enough power.

I got mine from here: www.bmkdesigns.net

P.S. I have...

RE: hacker esc fried twice!

No, a bigger prop will also slow the motor down when it draws more amps, it puts more of a load on the motor. The APC "E" series props have smaller blades and therefore draw less amps than the APC...

RE: hacker esc fried twice!

I ran some numbers through Motocalc and the setup may be a bit borderline on a fully charged 3-cell lipo (19 amps at 12Volts). I would either go with a larger speed control or try a APC 10X5E prop,...

RE: P-51 for Beginner??

I generally would not recommend a warbird as a trainer. I would get something more like an E-Starter.

RE: Bad brushless motor?

If by pulsing you mean you feel the resistance from the magnets then the motor is fine. If it feels more like grinding the the motor is bad.
