i build the Hawk from andy

the tank is a Boomerang tank with almost a gallon of fuel , i mounted that one in top of the fuselage.
the smoke tanks are below that and hold another 2 liters of...

just got a picture send and like i suspected elevator true 0 point is 3-4 mm less then i have it now.
this explains the behaviour i am having now,this means less weight again in the nose..

did 3 more flights last weekend..
after first settling down and getting over my Personal Hawk problem when flying them.
i made a few passes on low speed and i was smilling again ,...

i think the stuff used in CA glue
heat it with a heatgun to about 100 celcius it will let go...
dont over heat it you will burn your orings.

i did not mean the inner doors those are strait and no problem.

still in one piece and went home again without the use of garbage bags...:D.

i did find that both wheel doors are 2 huge...

picked it up at bickley jets ast weekend.
started monday at noon
finisched the build yesterdat at 4..
adjusted minor things this morning.

i didnt had any more hinges anymore for the main doors..
so i cant complete the wing.
the nose section i did like GEH3 , just one door.
also the Carbonintake does not fit the original pipe why is...

this once proofs again that the trows i had was far to big...
my info was 30mm ABOVE that elevator cover , no wonder it was touchy...
what didyou do on ailerons?

i correctly used the CG and throwsas recomended a few weeks ago.

Reason found for my crash...

CG was to critical aft..
elevator throws where to much.
causing it to snap out and wing over.

to bad....

i dont think you can

look at the way they rotate towards the inside

the retracts are not 90 degrees and also tend to lean to the back..
i have thought of the same , but wont work.

yes it just flicked over , i felt i still had control i managed to turn it again but was to low to recover.
i think i still had not enough airspeed , but from the other hand i had set it to about...

Maidened ours today with no luck....

result was a totalled Hawk.

no idea what happened , take off was nicely.
totaly uncritical , and a touch of up and she went up.
little sensitive on...

o yes FYI i used a Elan /Fuel tank 3,7 liter much better to fit somehow and use the original for smoke :D

i HATE lead or anything extra to level it out..
i will laser a new part if needed but not extra weight.
