I believe thats where some of the "awesome" for the airplane is kept. Since there is so much of it in the airplane they had to add a little extra space in a few places to fit it all in.

I dont think physical size has anything to do with it. The weight of the aircraft is what causes problems. You have a "large" model that weighs 5 Lbs isnt going to destroy a whole lot when it hits...

Hahahahahaha! I couldnt help but laugh at this comment.

He is correct though. All turbine engines arent happy with rapidly verying loads. Primary reason they never wound-up in road vehicles.
