How did you use a KK pressure backplate without a regulator and have the engine idle without loading up?

I still have my 1959 R/C Golden Bee and It will idle until the tank is empty. I like it better than the Tee Dee with the tarno carb that I used to have.:D

Astronomer1... I have tried using the Tarno carb in conjunction with a throttle ring and it ran poorly. The transition was rough and the engine never ran it's best. With the Tee...
